FIRE PUMP
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM CHECK LIST

Transfer Case - Drain oil and check for metal and contamination.

Outboard Bearing - Grease outboard bearing.

Pump Mounts - Inspect pump mounting for rust, corrosion, damage, or loose bolts.

Pump Shift - Check operation of air/electric shift, insure proper transmission lock-up, check "OK to Pump" indicators, and operate and check manual override if equipped.

Pump Shift Linkage - Lubricate shift linage. Test/inspect manual override if equipped.

Driveline - Inspect flange bolts, drive shafts and U-joints.

Primer - Check oil level and clean vent hole as necessary.

Caps - Remove, clean, inspect and lubricate all discharge and suction caps.

Suction Screen - Inspect and clean all screens.
-
Drain Valves - Inspect and lubricate all drain valves.
-
Discharge Valves - Inspect and lubricate all valves, linkages, and handles.
-
Booster Reels - Lubricate all gears, chains, and swivels.
-
Strainers - Check and clean strainers on governor and relief valves as necessary.

Pump Panel Lighting & Indicators - Check operation of all pump panel lights including all tank level indicators, pump indicators, and engine indicators.

Pump Packing - Run Pump @ 150psi for 5 minutes while checking packing for leaks.

Gauges - Inspect gauges for damage and leaks.

Transfer Valve - Inspect, lubricate and check operation of transfer valve if equipped.

Pressure Governor - Insure proper operation of governor.

Relief Valve - Insure proper operation of relief valve.

Pump Body and Plumbing - Check pump, plumbing, manifolds, and transfer case of leaks or damage
ALL PROBLEMS FOUND WILL BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING.
